Weather Awareness Service for your Electronic Flight Bag

eWAS provides airline pilots with comprehensive weather information for their flights. The application displays the latest observations and forecasts in an innovative horizontal and vertical layout, offering a detailed 4D visualization including time. This data can be utilized on the ground for enhanced flight planning and can also be accessed onboard the aircraft for real-time updates during the flight. Through dedicated onboard integration, information can be received via satellite or ACARS communication, with optimized data formatting and compression to reduce communication costs. Moreover, eWAS facilitates direct ATC flight plan requests from ground servers or allows for easy import from flight documentation.
